2026: The Year of Leading with Fire
Let’s talk about leading with fire!
I took some time over the holidays to slow down, reconnect with my family, and reflect on what I want for the year ahead. I’m feeling refreshed and focused! I hope the same for you.
Heading into 2026, I want to give you more practical action steps you can take to directly apply your learning to your leadership. Because I love that you’re here. I love that you’re investing in your leadership. I’m here for you!
So, leading with fire. Not the kind of fire that burns hot and fast and leaves you exhausted by March (...been there, done that). I’m picturing quiet, steady heat that stays fueled, keeps burning, and sparks other people’s fires.
That’s the fire I want for me and for you this year.
What “leading with fire” means to me
trusting yourself
speaking with conviction and decisiveness
staying connected to your identity and finding your influence
remembering your purpose
Why this matters for this year
I work with many emerging leaders. People who are capable, thoughtful, and deeply invested in doing good work, but who can feel like they’re circling the runway instead of taking off career-wise or as a leader.
What I hear (and what you might be feeling!) isn’t so much “I’m burned out” as:
“I don’t want to get this wrong.”
“I don’t want to overstep.”
“I’m not sure I’m ready yet.”
Leading with fire doesn’t mean forcing readiness. It means acting with self-awareness, vision, and integrity where you are, and letting confidence be the result, not the prerequisite. (...Read that again!)
How we’ll explore FIRE this year
This year, I’m organizing everything (blog posts, resources, Power Friday workshops, and other content) around this theme of leading with fire.
Here’s the arc we’ll be moving through:
Q1 = Stepping into your leadership fire and reconnecting with your energy, confidence, and internal authority
Q2 = Communicating in a way that sparks action
Q3 = Influence that gets things done, without burning yourself out
Q4 = Building a career that feels aligned, by reconnecting leadership to meaning, purpose, and legacy
Parting thought
Hear this: You don’t need to become someone else to lead well. You don’t need a louder voice or a bigger title. You have what it takes to start… and I can help you level-up the rest.
I’m really glad you’re here for yourself.
Your action step:
Notice where you’re waiting for permission. Write it down if you’d like. You might notice a moment where you hold back an idea, soften a point, or wait for validation. For now, just pay attention… we’ll build on this in the weeks to come!
Lead the way.
