It’s a new chapter for Matz Learning Solutions

New website, new team members, new logo, big plans

When I first launched Matz Learning Solutions back in 2014, my vision was simply to help people achieve success in the workplace.

Now, 9 years later, that vision has grown. At the beginning of 2023, I began the (surprisingly vulnerable and raw) journey of re-imagining this business I had been building. My vision has grown, my team has grown, and my gratitude has grown. I’ve met so many amazing people along the way.

Here are some of the biggest updates I wanted to share:

I’m also IN LOVE with our new logo and wanted to share some of the meaning behind it – but first, a few teasers about some really exciting things taking shape behind the scenes, and where I’ll be putting significant focus and effort this year:

  1. Create leadership development opportunities for women of color. In 2021, I began to reflect on my diverse identity and set out to create a more customized curriculum that would help prepare and inspire women of color for leadership roles. This is the year for seeing that take shape.

  2. Launch a give-back initiative. I look forward to more closely supporting two organizations I’m inspired by: Room to Read, a global community that supports girl’s education, and MANA de San Diego, which supports leadership development, education, and advocacy for Latinas.

  3. Improve my craft as a professional communicator. As a teacher and facilitator, I’m used to being a verbal communicator, but I still have opportunities to grow in my deep listening skills with others. Through the years, I’ve learned simply sitting back and taking deep breaths in the classroom and actively listening to participants makes me a better communicator. I don’t have to be the one talking all the time! This is my personal commitment to myself.

Now, about our beautiful new logo!

While in graduate school, I centered my research around the impacts of organizational-wide learning-centric practices and standards, which cultivates growth, engagement, and retention. Organizations who learn from mistakes, from each other, the business, best practices, all continually grow and perform. I see learning-centric organizations as ones who put learning at the center of their business (even physically seating the training team in the middle of the workplace, very literally and symbolically creating access and visibility to this commitment).

The original Matz Learning logo featured a lot of bold and energetic orange – that’s me! The new identity balances that energy with a rich turquoise that nods to clarity of thought and communication.

I’m beyond excited for our future, and so grateful to have you along for the ride. It’s a deep privilege to equip you, your teams, and ignite leadership potential. You’re all on the front lines of building the future!

Lead the way,
